Welcome to Let’s Play Music at Udy Studio.

Let’s Play Music is an innovative curriculum which will lead your child (entry age 4-6) from very basic music introduction using singing, and simple instruments through a three year program.

This program is great for all children, not only those interested in playing the piano. Your child will develop a great ear, learning how to hear and sing on pitch. They will also learn how to read music as well compose their own songs. There is no program for this age of children that gives your children such a solid foundation in music theory.

About Rebecca

Rebecca Udy studied violin at Brigham Young University-Idaho receiving a Bachelor of Arts with an emphasis in String Pedagogy. I was introduced to Let’s Play Music during that time, and I decided that my future children would go through the program when they were the right age. Once my oldest started, I decided that this was such a great program that it needed to be more readily available and I decided to add it to my established music studio.

I have been teaching private lessons for 10 years, and started teaching Let’s Play Music in the fall of 2017.  I am also a Nationally Certified Teacher of Music in both violin and piano through the Music Teachers National Association.

About Let’s Play Music

Here is a quick overview of the 3 year program.

We use engaging games, songs, and Tone Bells to introduce the staff and rhythm reading skills.

We transfer these skills to playing the piano where we also learn chord notation, intervals, and harmonic improvisation.

By the end, students are playing piano at level 1-2, transposing music, composing their own music, sight-reading music, and are prepared to excel in further private piano instruction.
